Dear Prayer Team,

The McIlhanys and the CrossBridge Church launch team are seeing the launch of the CrossBridge Church draw near.  We are excited to see who God will bring together for this new church.  It is so encouraging to know that God is giving all we need to get this church off the ground.  We are meeting with the launch team weekly for Bible study, prayer and planning.  Responsibilities are being divided up as we form a worship team, children’s ministry, youth ministry, administration team, and connections ministry. 

We are so encouraged to have Kurt Andree joining us on Sunday nights as our part time youth pastor.  For those of you who do not know Kurt, he is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and came through the youth ministry at Grace Church when I was youth pastor.  He connects well with students and has a heart to serve God.  Please pray as He searches for a good job.

A pastor owns a building in the down town of Ishpeming and there is room for a youth ministry to get started there.  He is willing to let us use it if we help build bathrooms and a kitchen. 

We are also negotiating on using a conference center for services in Ishpeming.  Our first service is planned for January 17th.  We have some guest worship teams coming to help us during the first month.  Please pray for us as we seek to put the pieces together for the first services.  We are trying to find or purchase a 13 channel mixing board and amplifier for the sound system. 

Personally it has been a struggle for our family as we have seen our personal support for church planting drop significantly in the last 2 months.  It was our hope to have a buyer by now for our home, so we are going to try harder to get our home in Rapid River rented out.  We continue to wait on the Lord on these matters.  Isaiah 30:18   Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! 

Please pray our home would either be rented or sold soon.  We also ask for prayer for unity among our new launch team as we work together in planting CrossBridge.  We continue to pray for you and we are so very grateful for you loving encouragement and prayers.  We pray this is a blessed Christmas for you and your family.
